Nurse Therapist 

I am a CBT Practitioner with many years of experience working with people with mental health challenges, such as depression and anxiety. As a registered nurse, I also have experience of working with people who have an associated physical health problem that impacts on your mood, your mental health and overall wellbeing. For many people, that may currently be as a result of a Covid infection/s.
 

My main therapeutic approach has been cognitive and behavior therapy (CBT), a model that is based on developing and/or expanding your existing wellness toolkit. I completed my training as a therapist in the CBT model in 1997 and have continued to stay up to date with the approach by attending training workshops with a number of international CBT experts.

Essentially the approach supports you to build your resilience and increase your resourcefulness: a process of becoming your own therapist.
